With a disciplined quality control process, NCE survey crews are able to confidently provide support to contractors in the field.
NCE is currently equipped to run up to three survey crews. Crews may consist of a conventional two-man arrangement with a party chief and instrument man, or where appropriate a one-man crew is run where practical and economical for the client. Our survey crews currently have the following equipment available to them:
- Trimble R10 GPS units
- Trimble S6 Robotic Total Station
- Trimble DiNi Digital Level
- Topcon AT-G3 Auto-Level
- DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 for Aerial Mapping
Data collection is performed with our Trimble TSC3 Data Collectors running both TDS Survey Pro as well as Trimble Access depending on our needs. For office software, we run TDS Foresight for building roads and construction stakeout as well as Trimble Business Center for all our GPS and Digital Level post processing. Survey drafting and analysis is further processed utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017. NCE utilizes a field to finish proprietary coding system for conventional ground topographic surveys.
With this coding system, field points are brought into the AutoCAD drawing and a significant portion of the line work is drawn automatically. Symbols for features such as water valves and manholes are automatically drafted as well based on our field measurements. This process allows for a faster turnaround time in preparing topographic surveys.
All crews are equipped with 4-wheel drive vehicles and a full complement of surveying accessories.
