Creston Road Rehabilitation, Segments 1 & 2 (Paso Robles)

paso robles civil engineerNCE prepared concept plans along with a cost estimate for each Segment. Final design of Segment 2 is underway. These projects are funded by the recent voter-approved Sales Tax Measure in addition to Gas Tax monies. The City Council has recently approved a plan (known as “Plan B”) which identifies approximately 15 miles of City streets that are to be improved under this program. Creston Road Segment 1 is one mile in length from South River Road to Rolling Hills Road and Segment 2 is one-third of a mile in length from Golden Hill Road to Lana Street. A topographic survey was conducted for the gutters, curbs, sidewalks, driveways and returns for the length of each segment. In addition, field inspections of the curb ramps, sidewalks and driveways were completed to verify compliance with the governing standards. For Segment 2 a crosswalk at the intersection of Creston Road and Lana Street was evaluated for the need to provide a traffic signal or ADA compliant actuated indicators. The project will include pavement reconstruction/widening/overlay, upgrading of existing cross walks, replacement of deficient curb ramps and sidewalks, construction of new sidewalks, and utility relocations.
