North Coast Engineering (NCE) provides a wide array of surveying services to both private and public clients throughout California. With a disciplined quality control process, the NCE Survey Department prides itself in being able to consistently provide accurate results in all aspects of our work. We strive for fast turnaround times and being able to meet deadlines at or under budget.

about us

NCE is currently equipped to run up to three separate survey crews. Crews may consist of a traditional two-man arrangement with a party chief and chainman, a one-man crew is run when it is practical and economical for the client. All crews are equipped and trained in the use of 4-wheel drive vehicles so the we can confidently and safely access the remote areas that we often find ourselves in.

Data collection in the field is performed with our Trimble TSC3 Data Collectors running both TDS Survey Pro as well as Trimble Access. For office software, most of our work is done using AutoCad Civil 3d 2020. We also utilize Trimble Business Center for our GPS and Digital Level post processing as well as TDS Foresight for building road corridors. NCE has also developed a proprietary field to finish coding system for topographic surveys that significantly reduces our office drafting time.
