About this Project

North Coast Engineering provided Civil Engineering and Surveying and Mapping Services for this 123 MW alternating current solar photovoltaic project by SunPower Corporation. This project occupies a 670-arce site in Kings County, California, approximately 6 miles south of the City of Lemoore. The project provides clean, renewable electricity to approximately 49,000 residences. The project improvements include the installation of post mounted solar panels and equipment in 3 Arrays, medium voltage transmission lines, a sub-station, and interconnection to an existing PG&E switchyard and transmission lines. The supporting infrastructure included maintenance and emergency access roads, connections to existing local streets, security fencing, a portable water pump station, a fire water storage tank, a fire pump, a septic disposal system, and an operation and maintenance facility.
