About this Project
North Coast Engineering completed the design and provided construction services for significant improvements to El Camino Real from Oak Park Boulevard to Grand Avenue in the City of Arroyo Grande. The project consists of pavement rehabilitation including removal and repair, pavement reinforcement fabric and pavement overlay, restriping and traffic control plans; pavement widening and striping for the addition of Class II bike lanes; sidewalk infill to complete a continuous pedestrian corridor; construction of a soil nail retaining wall to allow street widening; construction of various water line and utility improvements; and a redesign of the City’s Park & Ride facility to provide additional parking spaces, handicap (ADA) access, and transit amenities including a transit shelter, bike racks, and other features.
