About
Morro Bay Housing Project
We are happy to share the Morro Bay Housing Project, a significant milestone for North Coast Engineering and the San Luis Obispo Housing Authority in providing affordable housing. This project represents collaboration and dedication to delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions that meet the stringent requirements of California’s Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB).
Project Overview
NCE was entrusted with providing comprehensive grading and drainage design services for the Morro Bay Housing Project. The design included innovative raised retention basins, tailored to overcome challenging site conditions, ensuring effective stormwater management and compliance with post-construction requirements set by RWQCB.
Additionally, our team executed frontage improvements along Sunset Avenue and Rockview Street, enhancing accessibility and safety with new curb, gutter, and sidewalk installations. Utility design was meticulously handled, encompassing domestic water and sewer systems to support the needs of the 35-unit apartment complex.
Furthermore, NCE prepared the Pre and Post ALTA surveys, conducted boundary surveys, and provided construction staking services, ensuring precision throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Community Impact
Situated at 405 Atascadero Road, at the intersection of Atascadero Road and Sunset Avenue, this development marks a pivotal addition to Morro Bay’s housing landscape. The complex boasts a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units, thoughtfully priced to accommodate varying family incomes. With nine three-bedroom, nine two-bedroom, and seventeen one-bedroom apartments, the project addresses the community’s diverse housing needs.
Convenience and Accessibility
Beyond providing much-needed housing, the Morro Bay Housing Project offers unparalleled convenience. Located mere minutes away from shopping centers, schools, parks, the Embarcadero, and the picturesque beaches, residents enjoy easy access to Highway 101 and Highway 41, ensuring a well-connected and vibrant living environment.
The successful completion of the Morro Bay Housing Project underscores NCE’s commitment to excellence in civil engineering. We are proud to have played a pivotal role in bringing this transformative development to fruition, enriching the community with enhanced infrastructure and quality living spaces.
As we look forward to future endeavors, North Coast Engineering remains dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that positively impact our communities. Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at shaping a better tomorrow.
