The Oak Park Community Redevelopment project has now completed its fourth and final phase of the project. Phase 4 adds 75 new, affordable apartments that consist of 21 one-bedroom, 34 two-bedroom, and 20 three-bedroom units.
Originally constructed as a World War II military housing complex, the entire existing Oak Park Community had been reconstructed to house almost double the amount of existing occupants.
NCE designed the master plan of the project. Utilizing the major principles of Low Impact Design, NCE was able to meet the City’s storm drain runoff criteria while providing a sustainable post-construction stormwater treatment system meeting the requirements of the RWQCB. Oak Park is committed to meeting a net-zero energy standard through the use of solar panels and energy-efficient materials.
The project required a large team to bring it all together, and Paso Robles Housing Authority brought North Coast Engineering to the team for Civil Engineering and Construction Management, and Survey back in 2009 to begin on Phase 1. Phase 4 was completed in May 2020 and awarded the 2019 Beautification of the Year Award by Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce.
