About this Project
North Coast Engineering provided Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services for the renovation of the People’s Self-Help Housing-owned Creston Garden Apartments in Paso Robles, CA. The existing (60 unit) two-story town-home style apartment complex, originally built in 1980 and funded through the USDA Section 515 Rural Rental Housing Program, had (15) structures comprised of (51) 2-bedroom units and (9) 3-bedroom units. New site amenities include a new, larger community center, basketball court, and playground. The existing accessibility and drainage condition assessment of the site required the replacement of all concrete sidewalks, paths, and patio flatwork. Accessible parking spaces, paths, and ramps were installed. Areas between the existing structures were re-graded, and the retaining, garden, and seat walls were added. A new stromwater drainage collection and conveyance system was designed.
