About this Project

North Coast Engineering was retained by the Affordable Housing Development Corporation in partnership with the Paso Robles Housing Authority to provide civil engineering and land surveying services for River Walk Terrace, a 79-unit senior affordable housing development in Paso Robles. Due to this project’s proximity to the Salinas River, NCE’s attention to detail in design, installation, and surveying was key to ensuring this project’s approval. NCE designed a 20-foot deep, 10-foot diameter sewer lift station to accommodate both new residential flows and those from a nearby shopping center, relocating and upgrading the existing sewer lift station to meet current standard requirements. NCE also ensured the drainage system met all municipal and State Water Quality Control Board post-construction requirements and managed offsite improvements at the intersection of Niblick Road and the Woodland Plaza entrance, updating traffic signals, crosswalks, and accessibility features per ADA and Caltrans standards. NCE’s Survey Department conducted comprehensive topographic surveys, completing an Elevation Certificate due to the site’s proximity to the Salinas River and the 100-year flood elevation as well as the ALTA survey for the project owner.
